Electrospinning

One of the methods used to produce nanofibers is electrostatic spinning, also known as electrospinning. The first patent for this principle dates back to 1902 and was filed by J. F. Cooley from Boston University. Unfortunately, at that time there was no equipment available that could verify that Mr. Cooley had produced nanofibers. Czech scientists are among the world leaders in nanofiber and nanotechnology research. Through the cooperation of Elmarco and the Technical University of Liberec, the Nanospider device was developed, becoming the first technology to enable the industrial-scale production of nanofibers.
