AKUTOL™ ChitoFib^® Universal Nano Patch is designed for non-sterile coverage of minor wounds. It provides excellent protection thanks to its elastic, water-repellent textile that adapts to the contours of the body. It is breathable, hypoallergenic, latex-free and adheres gently, making it suitable even for sensitive skin. It ensures protection against infection, maintains a moist wound environment for healing, and is dermatologically tested.

ChitoFib^® – Revolutionary Chitosan Nanofibers for Fast Wound Healing

ChitoFib^® is a revolutionary line of medical products based on a proprietary technology for producing nanofiber layers made from natural chitosan. Its manufacturer, the European company Nano Medical, is the first in the world to implement industrial-scale production of chitosan nanofiber structures for use in medical devices (plasters, wound dressings) that protect wounds from contamination and support faster healing.

Chitosan in nanostructured form promotes wound healing by creating a natural environment for new cell growth. When in contact with fluids, it forms a gel that keeps the wound moist and facilitates regeneration. The delicate nanofiber layer protects the wound from microbial contamination while also acting naturally antimicrobial. Chitosan gradually biodegrades through interaction with body fluids. The material is suitable for a wide range of wounds, including surgical, chronic, and burn wounds. 

Faster and More Effective Wound Healing 

During normal healing, new skin cells spread from the edges of the wound and gradually cover the injured surface. A typical complication of this phase is wound drying, which slows down healing, promotes scab formation, increases pain, and negatively affects scarring.

Instructions for Use

Clean, disinfect, and dry the wound and surrounding skin before applying the patch. Ensure that the adhesive parts of the plaster do not cover the wound itself. Replace the patch as needed, at least once a day. The patch is intended for single use only. Suitable for all age groups. It can be used alongside medication or other wound-healing therapies and does not interfere with diagnostic procedures.

Warning

Do not use on wounds with excessive bleeding or for covering chronic wounds. Do not moisten the wound before application and do not apply ointments, powders, or other products before covering.
