With ProfiPure UVM you will achieve water quality comparable to an Olympic pool. The permanent disinfection technology will relieve you of eye irritation and redness, itchy and dry skin, the typical chlorine smell, and it also reduces the possibility of asthma in children. You get all these benefits thanks to the broad spectrum UV lamp (UVM) technology housed in the ProfiPure. The UVM is suitable for disinfecting indoor and outdoor pool water and can be connected to existing pool technology.

In chlorinated pools, the amount of chloramines - the bound chlorine that causes the typical chlorine smell - is measured as a parameter determining water quality. In addition, it causes eye and mucous membrane irritation and respiratory problems. It is scientifically proven that trichloramines in particular are the cause of increased asthma in children who regularly visit chlorinated swimming pools. By reducing chloramines in pool water, you are helping to protect the health of your entire family, so it makes sense to get effective UVM technology. As an added bonus, eliminating chloramine won't cause corrosion of materials, allowing you to save on the cost of potential repair or replacement.

Why Choose ProfiPure UVM Technology over Standard UVL?

Two types of UV lamps are used to treat water. The most important difference is invisible to the human eye. It is the ultraviolet (UV) radiation that the lamps emit. UVL lamps normally emit monochromatic radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm, where only the DNA of microorganisms is damaged and elimination is not as effective. With the broad spectrum wavelengths of UVM technology, more species of microorganisms and undesirable substances can be permanently eliminated because their entire DNA is destroyed, hence their ability to reproduce. UVM is the only UV technology that reduces bound chlorine in swimming pools, which is responsible for most undesirable properties. The latest version of DIN 19643 states: Only UV-M (medium pressure UV = broad spectrum UV) systems can properly disinfect pool water and at the same time reduce the bound chlorine content. Low pressure UV systems cannot do this and are therefore not suitable for such applications.
